drowning in this sea of blankets
sleep evades me, oh it avoids me so well nowadays
as my body is so awake
on fire really, burning holes in my soul
but never in my memory
i toss and turn, trying to shake off this feeling
it heats me so, burns me from the inside out
i love it, but i hate it all the same
can i not just let go of this?
